The Betsy Awards 2024: A Day of Celebration and Achievement

The Betsy Awards 2024 proved to be a resounding success, bringing together a diverse group of individuals, organizations, and sponsors to honor the remarkable achievements of Shari Davis and the Los Angeles Partnership for Early Childhood Investment. The day was filled with excitement, inspiration, delicious food, and a strong sense of community, making it an event to remember. All of us at Connections for Children are incredibly grateful for the support shown by our community on this special day.

Without a doubt, the highlight of the day was the recognition of Shari Davis and the Los Angeles Partnership for Early Childhood Investment. Shari Davis was honored for her exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to creating opportunities for young children. The Los Angeles Partnership for Early Childhood Investment was recognized for its significant dedication to educating members, driving systems change, and making impactful contributions to the early childhood field.

Another bright spot of the event was the surpassing of our fundraising goal. The Betsy Awards aimed to raise funds to support early childhood education initiatives in the Westside and South Bay communities of Los Angeles County. Thanks to the collective efforts of everyone involved, we have ensured that all children in our community will have the opportunity to reach their full potential through equitable access to high-quality early care and education. This funding will directly support programs that expand access to early childhood education, enabling Connections for Children to serve even more families and children in need. Just this past fiscal year Connections for Children was able to provide financial assistance to over 1.5 thousand families in the Los Angeles community.

An integral part of the event's success was the online auction, which was a hit among attendees. A wide range of unique and valuable items were up for grabs, and guests enthusiastically bid on their favorite items, contributing significantly to the overall fundraising efforts. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who donated to and bid on the auction items.

The success of the Betsy Awards 2024 demonstrates the commitment of so many individuals in our community to early childhood education. This outpouring of support has set the stage for an even more remarkable event next year, where we will once again celebrate the impact and accomplishments in early childhood education. With the continued support of our community, the Betsy Awards will continue to shine a spotlight on those making a difference in the lives of young children and inspire others to join the cause.

Thank you to everyone who made this event possible. We look forward to another year of growth, impact, and community engagement. Together, we can ensure that every child in our community has the opportunity to thrive.
