Connections for Children now has a presence at El Camino College, and we want you to know about it.
Our Community Resource Navigator and Subsidy team are now co-located at El Camino College's Social Justice Center on a regular schedule. If you have questions about child care, need help finding a provider, or want to pick up some supplies for your family, you can now stop by in person without making a special trip across town.
We set this up because we know that families are busy. Getting support should not feel like another task on a long to-do list.
What Is a Co-Location Space?
Co-location just means we bring our services to a place where families already are, rather than expecting families to come find us. Our space inside the Social Justice Center is set up to be comfortable and accessible. You can bring your children, sit down, and talk with a staff member without it feeling like a formal appointment.
This space is open to anyone in the community. You do not need to be an El Camino student to visit. If you live or work in the area and have questions about child care, need help connecting to resources, or just want to talk to someone in person, you are welcome to stop by.
That includes families already connected with CFC, community members who are new to our services, and students at El Camino who are balancing classes with parenting responsibilities.
What Can You Do Here?
When you visit our co-location space, you can:
• Ask questions about child care options in your area, in English or Spanish
• Get connected to subsidized child care programs
• Pick up Back-to-Basics (B2B) items like diapers, wipes, and other essential supplies (while supplies last)
• Learn about California's Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) options for your 4-year-old and other parenting resources
• Meet with a CFC Community Resource Navigator or Subsidy Staff in person
• Bring your children. The space includes child-friendly furniture and materials, so your children are comfortable while you connect with staff
Good to know: If you are a student-parent at El Camino, you are welcome to stop in between classes. It is a calm space where you and your child can take a breather during the day.

Why We Are Here
Families who are working, studying, and raising children at the same time do not always have a lot of extra room in their schedules. We do not want the process of getting child care information to be one more thing that takes up that time.
Partnering with El Camino College lets us be somewhere families already go. That is the point.
We also want this space to reflect something we think matters: that every family, regardless of their background or situation, should have a comfortable, low-pressure place to ask questions and get real information.
Questions? Get in Touch.
CFC staffs at El Camino co-location can answer questions about the space, what services are available, or what to expect when you visit.
