Connections for Children (CFC) was proud to host our first Super CPR Day at El Camino College in partnership with our Preventive Health & Safety Hub (PHS) agencies (Crystal Stairs, Pathways LA, Children’s Home Society—Long Beach) and partners at Hands to Heart CPR. Through this event, CFC brought together 42 child care educators from across Los Angeles County on May 23rd, 2026, for a day of hands-on learning and professional development.
The training was offered in both English and Spanish, providing educators with the opportunity to strengthen their emergency preparedness skills and build confidence in responding to critical situations. Participants received certification in Adult and Pediatric CPR, First Aid, AED use, and emergency response procedures.
In addition to completing a life-saving training, attendees received educational materials and resources to support ongoing learning and help create safer environments for children and families. Participants who successfully completed the training were also eligible to receive reimbursement for their registration fees totaling $2,730 through the California (CA) Health & Safety Program at the CA Department of Social Services. This financial support helped make the valuable professional development opportunity more accessible.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all the educators, trainers, and our partners who made this event a success. Together, we are strengthening the health, safety, and preparedness of our early learning communities.
