Change is in the air this fall, and with it comes an exciting new chapter for South Bay families. We are proud to announce the launch of our new co-location at El Camino College in Torrance, a strategic partnership that brings our family-centered services directly to a place where students and community members already learn, work, and grow.
Located in the heart of campus across from the Student Services building, community members now have a one-stop shop for accessing wraparound services, including FAFSA, CalWORKs, and child care resources. By co-locating on campus, we are making it easier for parents to pursue their education and advance their careers while connecting the broader community with quality early childhood services.
“Parents and other caregivers can become overwhelmed when trying to find child care that meets their family’s needs,” said El Camino College Child Development Professor Cynthia Cervantes. “Connections for Children (CFC) staff members are knowledgeable and thoughtful as they work one-on-one with each family to find the best fit. We are so pleased to welcome the Connections for Children team to El Camino.”
Thanks to the support of our generous donors, we are expanding access to child care resources across the South Bay. “This expansion is an exciting step forward in our team’s vision to make quality child care accessible for everyone,” said CFC Workforce Development Director Amanda Hsu. “Our new co-location at El Camino College brings child care resources within reach for South Bay families, helping to close the gap between need and opportunity.”
