At Connections for Children (CFC), we are more than just an organization – we are each other's community. Together, we celebrate monumental moments, while also showing up for the small, special times that make up our work together every day. We have one another’s back, we laugh, we cry, we get silly and creative, we learn from each other, we problem-solve, and we blossom, both individually and collectively.
Staff Appreciation 2025 was one of those special moments where we had the chance to come together and celebrate some extraordinary milestone achievements. Join us in celebrating our tenure awardees and recent graduates.
With immense gratitude, we honor our tenure awardees for 25 years at Connections for Children.
Debra Grant, Provider Specialist
Starting as a receptionist at CFC, Debra’s warmth and reliability led her to develop strong, trusting relationships with colleagues, families, and child care providers. These connections laid the groundwork for her chapters ahead – first as a Stage 1 Case Specialist, then in her current role as a Provider Specialist. Today, providers know they can count on Debra for guidance, whether it’s answering a question, sharing a resource, or pointing them toward a professional development opportunity. What truly sets Debra apart is the intention she brings beyond her daily responsibilities; she takes the time to get to know the families we serve and the families of her teammates, showing through every interaction that her care for our community runs deep.
Margarita Perez, Subsidized Programs Supervisor
Margarita’s journey at CFC began in the Payments Department, but her passion for working with families soon set her on a new path. Drawn to developing connections and resources with the community, she transitioned into the Subsidy Department as a Case Specialist. Before long, Margarita was promoted to Subsidized Programs Supervisor, leading her team with a forward-thinking approach that strengthened the foundation of support for countless families. Praised for her ability to see the “whole picture,” Margarita continues to create meaningful resources that empower parents to pursue careers, advance their education, and build brighter futures.
We also applaud the inspiring academic achievements of recent graduates at Connections for Children.
