Wildfire Recovery: Supporting Families, One Essential at a Time

At Connections for Children, we remain committed to supporting families impacted by recent fires, and we know recovery is not a one-time event but an ongoing journey. We are working hard to ensure families feel supported, seen, and equipped to move forward. Our Family Engagement team has been able to distribute essential items to impacted families in partnership with Baby2Baby and will be distributing customized Summer Success Kits to registered families in June.

So far, we have given out:

  • Diapers (sizes newborn, one, two, three, five, and six)
  • Baby wipes
  • Blankets
  • Duffle bags (with hygiene items)
  • Backpacks for children (newborn-eighteen years)
  • Air purifiers
  • Various protective personnel equipment (masks, gloves, coveralls, etc.)

We still have a few backpacks for children (newborn to eighteen years).  If you, or a family you know, has been impacted in some way by the recent fires and would like to request a backpack, please reach out to Brigitte Cerna, Family Engagement Coordinator, at (310) 452-3325, Ext. 230 and brigittec@cfc-ca.org

Pickups can be coordinated during our Family Time sessions, and while you're there, we invite you to stay, connect, and enjoy all that Family Time has to offer. See below for dates and locations.
