 s old. SONG GAME focuses on the natural\, rhythmic responses that young ch
 ildren experience when interacting with language patterns that occur speci
 fi-cally in songs. Special emphasis is given to 1) how rhythm instruments\
 , such as drums and maracas\, can help boost early linguistic\, cognitive 
 and perceptual development\; and 2) how teachers with no music background 
 can utilize current skills in the role of Music Leader to offer fun\, lang
 uage rich\, music-making activities.
