  old. SONG GAME focuses on the natural\, rhythmic responses that young chi
 ldren experience when interacting with language patterns that occur specif
 ically in songs. Special emphasis is given to 1) how rhythm instruments\, 
 such as drums and maracas\, can help boost early linguistic\, cognitive an
 d perceptual development\; and 2) how teachers with no music background ca
 n utilize current skills in the role of Music Leader to offer fun\, langua
 ge rich\, music-making activities.
