Summary of Programs

Alternative Payment: Funded by the California State Department of Education to assist parents who are working, are students, or are referred by Child Protective Services, with children from birth through age 12.

Santa Monica Child Care Support Program: Funded by the City of Santa Monica for Santa Monica residents who are working or are students and have children from birth through age 5 or who are ready for kindergarten. We strive to give families the opportunity to enroll children in accredited child care programs, therefore parents must select a licensed facility.

CalWORKs Stage I: Department of Public Social Services funding for GAIN participants receiving TANF who are in an approved GAIN activity and have children birth through age 12.

CalWORKs Stage II: California Department of Education funding to help families receiving TANF who are students or working and have children birth through age 12.

CalWORKs Stage III: California Department of Education funding to continue assistance to former TANF students or working clients with children birth through age 12.
